The Aussie garlic proved very popular last week, looks like it may be around for another three weeks. Will let you know when it’s about to finish, so you can stock up on it.
Colder overnight weather up north has reduced the supply of strawberries to the Market, and has pushed up prices. They won’t be available this week, as supply can’t be guaranteed. Beans, zucchinis, corn and iceberg lettuce are all coming out of Queensland at the moment.
Best of the local Victorian vegetables are: broccoli, broccolini, cauliflower, celery, leeks and cabbage.
Best of the local fruits are: apples, oranges, mandarins and pears.
The passion fruit are grown on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. They are particularly sweet at the moment.
Herbs such as coriander, chives, dill and rosemary are all grown locally, but because of the cold weather, are much smaller than usual. I’m not offering basil at the moment because it’s too cold to grow it locally.
This week’s early bird coupon code for a 5% discount is CC77
Have a great week!
Cheers,
