It seems like the mango season starts earlier and earlier each year.
The Northern Territory season is the first to start (Darwin and Katherine region) followed by Far North Queensland (Mareeba which is inland from Cairns) and then the Bowen region.
It is still very early days, so prices will drop as the season progresses.
The Kensington Pride variety is the most common of the mango varieties, and that’s what is on offer this week.
Strawberries as still from Queensland, the local ones shouldn’t be too far away.
