Local produce is fresher produce, and the strawberries we are currently selling are grown in Silvan, just twenty-five kilometres away from our Ringwood warehouse. The cherries are grown in Seville, also in the Yarra Valley, and about the same distance away.
Our baby cos lettuce, celery, kale, rainbow silverbeet and leeks are grown in Clyde (42 km from Ringwood) on the outskirts of Melbourne’s South East.
The broccoli, iceberg lettuce, cabbage and cauliflower is all from Werribee, about 60 km from Ringwood (30 km from the Melbourne GPO).
As much as possible we try and source our produce from small local growers.
