I started offering strawberries again late last week after not selling them for at least a couple of months.
They are coming from Bundaberg, which is located 360 km north of Brisbane.
Please take into account, by the time they are picked, packed and transported to Melbourne, it’s at least a couple of days before you get them. Don’t expect them to last as long as locally grown strawberries (which are not available at the moment), so best to eat them within two to three days (or sooner).
There is an issue with spring onion supply at the moment, so I’ve taken them off the online store. You’ll also notice that cucumbers (both lebanese and continental are expensive, but are available).
Generally speaking, when something is expensive, it’s because supply is limited, and it’s not in season. So you pay more, for inferior quality.
Have a good week!
Cheers,
Michael
