Not sure why we sold so much rhubarb last week, perhaps it was featured on a cooking show?
Well, it’s available at the moment, and it’s also relatively easy to grow and very hardy for those interested in growing it.
Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid which is poisonous, that’s why we cut them off for you.
Iceberg lettuce continues to be hard to source and very expensive. Apparently the farmers weren’t able to plant it in Queensland because of the floods of a few months ago.
Baby cos lettuce or salad mix are the best options for those eating salads at the moment.
We’ve just changed Buttercup’s water (our Common Goldfish), so she’s very pleased about that.
Pops the cat is having a snooze on the couch, I’m going to put up a towel rail in the new bathroom before delivering some fruit and veg to my mum.
Exciting times in the Micky Booth household.
All the best to you all,
Michael
