Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that we are not delivering this coming week (Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd November).
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Michael
Micky Booth Fruit and Vegetable Home Delivery Melbourne
Fresh from the market to your door
Deliveries as usual this week, but there will be no deliveries the following week which is Melbourne Cup week.
The stone fruit season is just about to kick off. Unfortunately, there will probably be a shortage of peaches, nectarines and plums this season due to the floods in Northern NSW earlier in the year, and the ongoing floods in Northern Victoria.
I will keep you up to date when I hear more.
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Michael
Another eventful week in the world of fruit and vegetable growing. I suppose the floods in regional Victoria will impact our fruit food bowl due to flooding of the Goulburn River.
Too early to tell what effect it will have, just another blow to the farmers.
One week at a time seems to be the best way to operate at the moment.
Have a good week!
Cheers,
Michael
We have six different mushroom varieties to choose from: Button, Field, Oyster, Sliced, Shitaki and Swiss Brown.
Three tomato punnets to choose from: Cherry Toms, Mini Roma and Mixed Medley.
Six potato varieties to choose from: Washed, Desiree, Dutch Cream, Kipfler, Brushed and Baby Potatoes (Cocktails).
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Michael
Hope you’ve all had a great long weekend, there has been a bit going on of late!
We are back delivering as usual this week.
It would be nice if the weather warmed up a bit more, to help the local veggies grow.
Mangoes are available, local strawberries not far away.
Have a great week,
Cheers,
Michael
With school holidays coming up, we are delivering as usual this coming week, but no deliveries the following week which is the first week of the school holidays.
Locally grown asparagus are now available!
More than ninety percent of Australian grown asparagus come from the Koo Wee Rup area in West Gippsland or from the Mildura area in North Western Victoria.
They are a little late this year due to the recent cold snap.
Tomatoes by the punnet are probably the best way to go at the moment regarding flavour.
Punnet options are regular cherry tomatoes; mini roma or the mixed medley which contains a variety of colourful baby tomatoes.
Mangoes from the Northern Territory are starting to arrive in the market. Still early in the season, so prices will start to drop in the coming weeks.
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Michael
We have premium quality jumbo blueberries available this week, as well as raspberries and Queensland Strawberries.
Still too cold for berries from Victoria, these ones are coming from up north.
Iceberg Lettuce has dropped in price again, back to prices that were paid prior to the flooding up north.
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Michael
