Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that there will be no deliveries this week.
Back to regular deliveries week beginning Monday 8th April.
Cheers,
Michael
Micky Booth Fruit and Vegetable Home Delivery Melbourne
Fresh from the market to your door
We haven’t taken any time off since April, maybe that explains why I am feeling a little flat!
Deliveries as usual this coming week, but we are going to take the following week off.
Take that into account when you order this week.
There will definitely be peaches and/or nectarines when we come back after the week off.
Cheers,
Michael
I just wanted to let everyone know that our expansion plans to deliver Melbourne wide will not impact your Micky Booth experience.
We have systems in place that allow us to always prioritise our existing loyal customers, so if there is a spike in demand for our service Melbourne wide, we can limit the number of deliveries to those new areas, or transfer them onto our new delivery partner.
Our new delivery partner is a family owned business that specialises in the delivery of perishable food items. They deliver Melbourne wide on a daily basis, so all new deliveries outside the eastern suburbs will be delivered by them.
My staff will continue to pack the orders, and I will continue to purchase the produce from the small local growers that I’ve been supporting for the past twenty-eight years.
The home delivery sector of the economy is growing, the big players are making their move, with large investments in data analysis and robotics.
I’d rather invest in people, offer a personalised friendly service, and keep things small and manageable.
Expanding our delivery zone will ensure sure that the Micky Booth business will not just survive, but will be a viable alternative into the future.
Thanks again for your support, pass on the coupon code: METRO to anyone you might think would benefit from our service.
Cheers,
Michael
New season Imperial Mandarins will be available this week.
Other locally grown winter citrus will follow, hope to have new season Navel Oranges very soon. There are some in the market already, but they are still very “sharp” (not sweet enough yet). Another week or so on the tree, and they should be right to be picked.
More news to come very soon about our planned Melbourne wide delivery launch.
Have a good week,
Cheers,
Michael
We are taking an Easter break, so no deliveries between Tuesday 6th and Friday 9th April.
Back the following week as usual, then the week after that we are planning to start delivering Melbourne wide!
Much more information to come regarding this exciting new development.
Have a great Easter,
Cheers,
Michael
Happy New Year to all, may 2021 be a less challenging one than 2020.
We are back delivering this week, with big plans to increase our delivery area this year. More information to follow in the coming weeks.
I was in touch with my suppliers last week, there are plenty of seasonal fruits around, the best of which are: peaches, nectarines, plums, cantaloupe, pineapple, grapes and passion fruit.
There are no new season apples yet, so old season Pink Lady and Granny Smith are the only options. New season Royal Gala, shouldn’t be too far away (maybe three to four weeks). New season William Pears should be available the week after next.
Let’s hope this year is a good one.
Cheers,
Michael
Was very pleasant to have a quiet week at home to re-charge the batteries, back into deliveries this coming week.
I spoke to my suppliers a couple of days ago, not much change in the market since the last week before the schoool holidays.
Still no sweet corn, but all other winter veggies are available.
As for fruit, the red seedless grapes are still going, although they mustn’t have long to go before they finish up.
Plenty of apples to choose from (4 varieties), and plenty of citrus also.
This week’s early bird coupon code for a 5% discount is: CC99
Have a great week,
Cheers, Michael
