Red and Green seedless grapes are locally grown, plentiful and excellent quality.

Watermelon is good value, plums are available, and there are two strawberries to choose from.

Both strawberry punnets are 250g the smaller strawberries are slightly cheaper.

Deliveries as usual this coming week (leading up to the long weekend).

If you live in one of these postcodes (3111, 3131, 3132, 3133, 3134, 3135, 3149, 3150, 3151 and 3152) and usually have a Wednesday delivery you will be able to order on Tuesday night for a delivery on Thursday 30th January.

Regular Thursday deliveries will still receive a Thursday delivery.

I have added freshly prepared Coleslaw to the online store (in the Vegetable section).

This is the second last delivery week for the year.

Usual Wednesday and Thursday deliveries this week and the following week.

Christmas falling on a Wednesday makes it a bit awkward to deliver the week of Christmas, so there will be no delivery on the Monday or Tuesday before the 25th.

I’m taking three weeks off, so will be back delivering in 2025 week beginning Monday 13th January.

Australian grown Kensington Pride Mangoes (the best variety) are available this week by the tray.

There are 14 in a tray, they are premium quality and cost $39 per tray.

If 14 are too many for you, go halves with a friend.

I took some apricots home last week, they did not last long in the fruit bowl.

As I keep saying, “Best time of the year for fruit!”

There has been a glitch ordering fruit platters and bakery items (from the Noisette Bakery) for many months now.

The glitch has been fixed!

That frustrating pop up window won’t appear anymore.

Everyone who has ordered the fruit platters in the past has been very impressed with the quality and freshness of them.

There are seven bakery items to choose from: Three croissants, three muffins, a Chocolate Pain Au and a Portuguese Tart.

As I said last week, now is the best time of the year for seasonal fruits!

Now is the best time of the year for summer fruits.

Peaches, nectarines, cherries, mangoes are all available.

Apricots and seedless grapes have also just started.

Apricots, peaches and nectarines are available in 1kg portions, or individually.

Probably the last week for mandarins, it’s been a good season for them. I’m surprised they have lasted so long.

You know it’s getting close to Christmas when you start to see cherries in the shops.

They have started, and are available in 500g and 1kg portions.

White Nectarines and Yellow Peaches have come down in price since they started a few weeks ago.

Mandarins won’t have long to go, and Navel Oranges will finish up soon and be replaced with the Valencia variety.

I have also added 800g free range eggs in addition to the 700g size that I have always offered.

So, a few new things to choose from.

Victorian grown strawberries are back in the Market, and there are two sizes to choose from: Large and Small.

The price of Peaches and Nectarines should drop during the week.

The Peaches are yellow, the Nectarines are white.

The first of the new season Australian grown White Nectarines arrived in the Market late last week.

A 4kg tray cost $55 so not really affordable yet, but they usually drop in price pretty quickly.

I’m doing a special price on Mangoes this week, to help convince us that summer is just around the corner.

We ran out of our three varieties of Pasta Sauce last week, hope to have that back online by the end of the week.

As the weather warms up down here, the locally grown iceberg lettuces start to increase in size.

Both Cos and Iceberg are good lettuce choices at the moment.

Mandarins are getting towards the end of the season, perhaps a week or two to go.

The first of the stone fruits (nectarines and peaches) are still a few weeks away.

Asparagus are in full season, Brussels Sprouts are available, but they too will finish up soon.
